Scheurich Glazed Ceramic Vase, c. 1970
A striking ceramic vase by Scheurich Keramik, model 517-30, produced in West Germany during the mid-20th century. Its restrained cylindrical silhouette, short neck and pronounced rounded rim are complemented by an expressive glaze in ivory-white, dark brown and charcoal. Irregular bands of fine speckling lend depth and texture to the surface, creating a distinctive contrast between form and decoration.
Marked 517-30 W. Germany to the underside.
